Message from our Co-Directors regarding rebranding

We wish to inform our community that, after careful consideration, we have decided to rebrand ourselves from the Oxford Global Society to the Centre for Dialogue and Global Affairs.

We deem that the new name better reflects who we are today, as well as our aspirations for the future. Below, we outline the key reasons behind this change:


1.⁠ ⁠Evolving Beyond Our Roots

While our origins are deeply tied to a specific group of persons and their geographical connections, we have grown far beyond those initial boundaries. Our membership spans various continents and many countries, and our work reflects a truly international perspective.


2.⁠ ⁠A Clearer Brand and Mission

Our mission has always been to facilitate international dialogue and promote global perspectives on pressing issues. The term Dialogue in our new name emphasises this commitment, making it clear that fostering meaningful conversations is at the heart of everything we do. We believe this name more accurately conveys our purpose and values to our audiences.



3.⁠ ⁠Highlighting Our Focus on Global Affairs

As a think tank, our work is centred on selected issues of international concern, including global politics and economics, technology governance, and constitutional foundations. The inclusion of Global Affairs in our name reinforces this focus and signals a clear research scope for our audiences.

This rebranding represents an exciting new chapter for our organisation, and we are confident that it will strengthen our ability to achieve our mission. None of this would be possible without the support and dedication of our own members and the wider community. Your contributions, whether through expertise, time, financial support,  connections or feedback, have been instrumental in getting us to this point, and we look forward to continuing to work with you!
